WIPO and SIC Colombia sign cooperation agreement on ADR methods

The Superintendency of Industry and Commerce and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) have signed an international cooperation agreement to promote Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods, for disputes that are related to Intellectual Property (in particular, mediation).

It was agreed the following:

  1. The dissemination and promotion of ADR procedures to potential users 
  2. The identification and training of specialized IP arbitrators and mediators based in Colombia.
  3. The use of case management services from the WIPO Center
  4. The use of " WIPO eADR ", an online tool for case management, and video conferencing applications.
