Deadlines extension at Chile’s INAPI

The Chilean National IP Institute INAPI, has announced that deadlines to some administrative processes related to the filing of intellectual property rights will be extended due to serious damages suffered by the office recently which rendered normal operations in the INAPI impossible.

This deadline extension of 7 working days will apply to all administrative processes with due dates that fell between the 6th and 14th of January 2020 and will apply to procedures carried out online or in person at the office. It will however not apply to any process with deadlines falling before or after these dates.

Likewise, all parties to contentious procedures with deadlines set between the 6th and 14th of January may claim for an extension.
