Event description

The Latin America IPR SME Helpdesk is organizing together with ELAN NETWORK a training for developing technology-based business opportunities. EU and Latinamerican SMEs interested or devoted to nano or biotechnology can benefit from this event, that will take place in Costa Ricaa and will last 3 days (from 23th to 25th November 2015).

It is specially oriented to SMEs developing Technoloby-based businesses in the sector of nano biotechnology that can be applied in the health and new materials industries.

Additionally, experts from the academic community, the Government Innovation Sector, Chambers of Commerce and Clusters / networks / groups concerning sectors nano-bio will be welcome.

About the speaker:

Mr. Manuel Guerrero Ph.D. has a law degree by Alicante University. Masters in Intellectual property law and information law society by Alicante University. Bachelor in Law by University Externado Colombia. He has worked as attorney in Colombia and Spain where he was the Director of Technology transfer Department Asia Latin-American (senior lawyer) at J. ISERN PATENTES Y MARCAS BARCELONA, junior lawyer at Community trademark Department at CLARKE MODET & CO. Alicante. Currently he is lecturer on technology transfer and intellectual property at University Externado Colombia, author of several books among them “International Technology transfer agreements, EU, USA and Latin America” and is Senior partner and Director of the innovation department at DSH Abogados.
