WIPO's new Madrid Application Assistant enhance international filings

WIPO has just implemented "Madrid Application Assistant", an electronic version of the official MM2 form that you must use to file an international application under the Madrid System. It allows users to import directly from the Office of origin’s national/regional trade marks database all the required information for their future international application. 

Its main benefits, according to WIPO, are:

- It is a simple process, in comparison with the previous platform

- Faster completion

WIPO releases a new tool to track COVID-19 related IP policy changes

WIPO is again showing their greatest efforts against this world epidemic crisis. This time they have launched a new tool that takes care of tracking IP policy changes related to COVID-19 in Member States.

Currently, the database has begun with a selection of more than 20 countries and regional offices. Brazil, Cuba and El Salvador are already in the tool.

The "COVID-19 IP Policy Tracker" will be updated regularly. It is freely accessible through a database interface.
